Nick teaches video chat lessons from his studio in Houston, TX.

Nick began his viola studies at the age of twelve in his native town of Duluth, Georgia. Nick earned his Bachelor of Music degree at the New England Conservatory and his Master of Music degree at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. Throughout his career, he has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, the Royal Concertgebouw, and the National Centre for Performing Arts in Beijing. For three seasons, Nick was a viola fellow at the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida, where he honed his orchestral craft, entrepreneurial spirit, and a love for teaching and community engagement. In addition to performances with the Houston Symphony and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, he has spent summers with the Lucerne Festival Academy, Britt Festival Orchestra, the Tanglewood Music Center, Aspen Music Festival and School, and more.

As a teacher, Nick takes a workshop-style approach with his students, encouraging them to be curious, ask questions, and find solutions together. He is immensely proud of the accomplishments of his students, who have successfully auditioned for programs with the Interlochen Arts Camp and Colorado Springs Youth Symphony.
