About Joyce
Joyce is an active soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and educator currently residing in San Francisco. She holds a bachelor's in music from the University of Washington and a master's in music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied with Timothy Day, principal flute of the San Francisco Symphony. Regarded as a highly versatile flutist, Joyce has performed and toured with ensembles of many musical genres, including Ensemble Mik Nawooj, a hip-hop chamber orchestra based out of Oakland, The Oak Street Wind Quintet, and the San Francisco Conservatory Faculty Quintet. Joyce maintains a thriving flute studio teaching students of all ages, from beginner flutists to advanced adult players. She enjoys teaching all styles of music including classical, jazz, blues, and everything in between.
Certification: Joyce is a Certified Tunelark Flute Instructor.
