About Gillian H.

Gillian is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and educator with over 30 years of experience in performance, songwriting, production, and music education. She holds a master’s degree in Contemporary Performance Production from Berklee College of Music (Valencia, Spain) and a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a focus on jazz and classical voice. Her training includes study with master vocal teacher Don Lawrence, and she gained early recognition winning Amateur Night at Harlem’s Apollo Theater as a singer. She has taught at Interlochen Arts Academy, the Center for Music and Nature, and Jazz Camp West.

Gillian teaches voice in English and Spanish, working with students of all ages and levels. Her approach blends vocal health, technique, improvisation, theory, and songwriting in a supportive, personalized environment, helping students build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and discover their unique musical voice.
