## About Ahou
Ahou is an accomplished soloist and experienced voice teacher based in the Los Angeles area. A soloist and ensemble member with Areté Vocal Ensemble, she recently performed in “Omar Sharif” from The Band's Visit. She has worked with the Los Angeles Children's Chorus and Young Men's Ensemble, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and California Philharmonic. For several years she has performed solos from Mozart and Vivaldi to French art songs with Artes Vocales. Ahou holds a bachelor's of fine arts degree from the University of Utah where she studied musical theatre and classical voice. Ahou is also a musical theatre librettist and lyricist; her one-act musical Seeing the Light debuted at The Broadwater Theater in Hollywood in 2022.

Ahou teaches all styles and levels of voice. Her teaching is influenced by principles of the Alexander Technique, incorporating body-mind awareness of breath and alignment that help free the vocal instrument. Her young students have been accepted into the National Children's Chorus, played leading roles in children's musical theatre performances, and gained acceptance into gifted and talented programs for voice. She also works with adults of all levels, whether it's to prepare for an open mic, a recording session, or simply to derive the healthful and rewarding benefits of singing.
